This past weekend at the Meijer Gardens in Grand Rapids, the Detroit Building Authority (DBA) and TEC received an Engineering Merit Award from the American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC) Michigan chapter for deconstructing the Joe Louis Arena.

MAF 2022 BANICKI BACCHUS BASH SCHOLARSHIP FUNDRAISER

On November 17, 2022, MAF friends and supporters came together at the historic Detroit Athletic Club to celebrate the annual Banicki Bacchus Bash, a MAF special event honoring long-time MAF supporters Kathy and John Banicki. Proceeds of the fundraising event benefit MAF’s John and Katherine Banicki Scholarship Fund, which provides an annual scholarship to a deserving architecture student. Over $12,000 was raised at this year’s event.
