Here's an old rivet press that had an important bit broken off. After a bit of thinking, and creative machining, the end result is a functioning tool.

When corrosion attacks!

This is what happens to the bellhousing on your low mileage plow truck in the midwest. The cracks were present before removal based on the amount of corrosion, but separating it from the block did it in.
