Valley Precision Tool & Technology Inc. is a growing small business/woman owned company. As business grows our team needs to grow. We now have multiple positions open.
Positions available: 6am-2:30pm or possibility of (4) 10 hour days Monday thru Thursday.
***1st shift CNC Mill Setup Support***
- CNC Setup Job Responsibilities
- 3 to 5 years’ experience and proficient at the following
- working and following instructions from manufacturing engineers
- following setup sheets to set up job
- putting tooling in machine and touching off tools
- stepping programs thru process
- CNC machines are all Haas machines
- performing FAI inspection before sending part to Quality for final FAI.
***1st shift Packaging Department***
- Packaging Job Responsibilities
- packaging of part components either into boxes or skids
- must be able to lift 25lbs
- working with front office on scheduling shipments
- must be able to operate fork lift
- receiving materials at dock door
- shipping materials at dock door
- packaging/shipping experience preferred but not necessary
***1st shift Quality Control Department***
- Quality Inspector Job Responsibilities:
- Inspects and approves incoming materials by confirming specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests, and rejecting and returning unacceptable materials.
- Inspects in-process production by confirming specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests, communicating required adjustments to production supervisor.
- Approves finished products by confirming specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests, returning products for re-work, and confirming re-work.
- Documents inspection results by completing reports and logs, summarizes re-work and waste, and inputs data into quality database.
- Keeps measurement equipment operating by following operating instructions and calibration requirements, and calling for repairs.
- Maintains safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures, and complying with legal regulations.
Quality Inspector Qualifications/Skills:
• Written and verbal communication skills
• Basic math skills
• Basic computer skills (use of Microsoft Excel is key skill needed)
• Attention to detail
• Analytic skills
• Documentation skills
• Hand/eye coordination
• Reporting skills
• Blueprint reading
Education and Experience Requirements:
• Experience with measuring devices such as meters, gauges, computers, calipers, and other measuring instruments
