Drawing and code reviews. We identify concerns and come up with solutions well as develop alternate means and methods to achieve code compliance. Our FLS Building Code Services include:

-Fire life safety egress drawings

SMOKE CONTROL CONSULTING
We prepare the rational analysis reports required for building permits and provide special inspections that are required for certificate of occupancy. Our Smoke Control Services include:
-Stair pressurization calculations
-Reverse engineering analysis of existing smoke control systems
-Special inspection of smoke control systems to obtain temporary certificate of occupancy (TCO) permit

We’re excited to share that YCI has joined the team for the adaptive reuse project at 2121 S. El Camino Real in San Mateo!

This project is a transformation of an existing 12-story office building into new residential housing. It proposes converting the building into 144 residential units, including affordable housing, as part of a broader adaptive reuse effort in the area. (cityofsanmateo.org)

YCI is providing fire/life safety code consulting along with smoke control design and engineering services for the project.

Adaptive reuse projects like this require thoughtful coordination between existing building conditions, evolving code requirements, and modern life safety strategies to help bring new purpose to existing structures.
