It's Halloween week! πŸŽƒ

Parents, some safety reminders to keep the scares on the sidewalk not the road. πŸ‘»

Parents - some costumes β€” similar to puffy coats β€” have excess material and can prevent a car seat from keeping your child SAFE in a crash.
Don't risk it β€” change them into their costumes at your destination.

Please share and post as needed.

πŸ’™ Pedestrian Safety: Look Out for the Ones You Love! πŸ’™

Every trip matters. Every person matters. And everyone deserves to make it home safely. ❀️

Whether you’re walking to school, crossing the road, heading to work, or taking a walk with family, remember:

πŸ‘€ Look both ways before crossing.
🚦 Use crosswalks and designated crossing areas when available.
πŸ“± Put the phone down and stay alert while walking or driving.
πŸš— Drivers: Slow down and watch for pedestrians, especially in busy areas, near schools, and at intersections.
πŸ’‘ Be visible, especially during nighttime or low-light conditions.
πŸ›‘ Give pedestrians the right of way when required.

Most importantly, think about the people waiting for you at home. ❀️

Slow down. Stay alert. Watch for one another.

Your loved ones want you home safely. πŸ‘πŸ’™

πŸš—πŸ’™ Our Third Seat Belt Safety Pop-Up! πŸ’™πŸš—

Thank you to everyone we saw buckled up today! πŸ₯³

To those who weren't buckled up β€” just a friendly reminder: Drive safe. Buckle up. Every trip. Every time.

πŸ“Š A couple of AI/AN Traffic Safety Facts in Washington:
β€’ 4 out of 10 AI/AN people who died in vehicle crashes from 2019–2023 were unrestrained.
β€’ AI/AN people had 5.6 times the rate of unrestrained crash fatalities compared with all other groups.
β€’ Unrestrained occupants accounted for 34% of Washington traffic fatalities in 2024.
Let's work together to get these numbers down!

❀️ Take a few seconds to buckle up β€” someone is waiting for you to get home.

πŸš— Click It Before You Start It! πŸš—

Get back to your loved ones safely.

πŸ“Œ Did you know?
β€’ Seatbelts reduce the risk of death for front-seat passengers by about 45%.
β€’ Without a seatbelt, you can be thrown around inside the vehicleβ€”or even ejected during a crash.
β€’ Most crashes happen close to home and on everyday trips, not just long road adventures.

Whether you're heading to work, school, the store, or just down the road, buckle up every trip, every time.

πŸ’Ί A seatbelt takes seconds to put on, but it could save your life.
