Our El Paso office was proud to support ACE Mentor Paso Del Norte as a Bronze sponsor of the 2026 Awards Showcase. ACE Mentor Program of America is a no-cost after-school program that helps engage high school students in careers in architecture, engineering and construction through mentoring and continued support. We were honored to celebrate the work and achievements of this year’s student teams at the May 22 event.

Our employee-owners were honored to attend the ribbon cutting of the SRCA Dragstrip in Great Bend, Kansas, on May 14. Bartlett & West helped with design and construction on this dragstrip reconstruction. Great Bend’s history with drag racing goes back to 1955, and we are proud to be part of this legacy continuing on for the drag racing community and The City of Great Bend.

Nationwide, there is a decline in the number of qualified water and wastewater operators. Small communities especially are facing significant challenges in recruiting and retaining certified operators. When Bartlett & West took on a project in Missouri to train operators, we saw how clearly it fit our purpose of leading our communities to a better tomorrow. Bartlett & West's entry to the rail industry is the stuff of company lore. In 1990, a cold call from Santa Fe Railway came with a narrow request: Santa Fe needed help with drafting support and a consulting partner willing to be flexible and creative.

Our willingness to meet a client with what they needed became the foundation of what would grow into decades of rail work. As part of the agreement, Bartlett & West hired the employees the railroad had just laid off, and within a few years, the work providing drafting services expanded to about 30 employee-owners as Santa Fe’s needs evolved.

When Santa Fe merged with Burlington Northern to form BNSF Railway, it tripled the size of the client, and Bartlett & West opened its first Texas office in Fort Worth.

Over time, an ever-growing list of skills and successful projects has led to Bartlett & West being seen as experts in many areas of the rail industry.

NAMI El Paso Mental Health Night with the El Paso Chihuahuas brought together community partners, advocates and fans to raise awareness and support mental health initiatives.

Our El Paso office was proud to support the event through a financial donation and participation. The effort was organized by employee-owner Chris Juarez, pictured here with Dr. Elda M. Ugai of Viva Health, alongside other community partners.
