Adequate water storage is essential for maintaining reliable service.

As part of ongoing improvements for Tripp County Water User District in South Dakota, Bartlett & West provided engineering services for two major storage projects:
• A new 200,000-gallon elevated spheroid tank (currently under construction)
• A new 500,000-gallon bolted glass-lined reservoir, which replaced an aging, leaking tank

These projects increase storage capacity and strengthen system resiliency for customers across the District.

Our 75th anniversary celebrations continued in Texas by moving on to Fort Worth. We had a great time getting together with clients, many of whom work close to our office location. The clients here represent our entry into the rail industry, which happened after we received a cold call from Santa Fe Railway in 1990 when they were looking for help with drafting. We are thankful for these long-standing partnerships and are proud to say we are leading our communities to a better tomorrow with every job.

Last week, our 75th anniversary celebrations headed to Texas. It was fun to get together in our Dallas location last Monday night to catch up with local clients who have been right alongside us, leading our communities to a better tomorrow. Thanks to those who helped celebrate 75 years!

Brian Jones has joined Bartlett & West as the vice president of Bartlett & West Construction, LLC, a Bartlett & West subsidiary.

Jones brings nearly 30 years of experience in design-build construction, general contracting, business development, estimating, cost control and scheduling. He will be responsible for the strategic leadership and growth of Bartlett & West Construction and managing relationships with stakeholders.

Reliable water service starts with a strong distribution system.

The Tripp County Water User District System Improvements Pipeline project in South Dakota included 53 miles of new 8-, 6-, and 3-inch parallel PVC waterline. Completed in 2024 and 2025, the project helps address system pressure and capacity challenges while improving service throughout the District. These improvements strengthen the network that delivers water to customers every day and support future growth across the service area.
