In case anyone is having issues like I was. Now I know, you’d think I would know better. This Nitro is tough business. But I’m getting the hang of it. Nice to read the shelf life is eternal, well, almost, but good enough!

For the Walbro WG on Methanol/Nitro

06/01/2026

My lovely better half pushed me on today. She’s tough❤️‍🔥

And I couldn’t let my followers down. You lot keep me going ❤️‍🔥

It is not tuned correctly, but the gang is taking every step with me. You can hear it in the first two cuts. However, the second cut started to bring me forward forcefully. So that was a very good sign. And temps were where they should be. Well below 400° I took a temp at Squaw Valley, and it was well past 400° I found that’s where my saws begin to run lean.

I’m using a new needle, the others are vibrating off. I can’t recall which carb/saw this needle is from, but it’s nice and tight. It won’t have a chance to turn at all from its final tuning location.

And I installed two new o rings just for this test. They sealed both the L and H circuits. So now the plan is to get the Aflas kind.

And 3 cuts to correctly simulate a grande cut from here on out.

Now it’s time to go to the desert and have fun 4 wheeling.

Onwards ✊🏾

In all honesty I don’t even know where to begin. It was a fun day hanging and seeing the gang again. I didn’t want to mention the heatstroke incident, but that was fu***ng scary to experience. THANKFULLY the water I had was cool.

TNT ran lean in both cuts. I never dealt with the o’rings on the WG. And it bit hard yesterday. Fuel was spraying out of both needles and made the cuts go lean. It was however, a good sign the fuel circuit is working in big wood with the size jet the WG has.

However, that there told me I’m not fully focused. I should have swapped out for methanol ones. And then with what happened yesterday after the show, it has pushed me away even further.

I need to take some time off, and come back fresh for either Tuolumne or North Fork.

Take the heat seriously folks, even if at only 80°.

FUUUUUUCK, let me tell you gang, talk about a learning lesson I hope pays dividends!!!!!So Dynamite had a bad fuel line....

FUUUUUUCK, let me tell you gang, talk about a learning lesson I hope pays dividends!!!!!

So Dynamite had a bad fuel line. It has been on there for years and I figured what aint broke, don’t fix it. Except, yup, threw me down a rabbit hole before I found the issue. And mind you, I broke down the saw entirely yesterday 😩 F**K!

So I’m hoping I got the 30% combo close enough. I don’t think I’ll flow 20% again, so that recipe is out the shop.

And might as well throw in a Chevytown13 Trick of the Week☠️

Clip the gasket to FLOW more fuel into the pocket. I use a paper hole puncher.

Later Days gang,

Alright gang, follies showed up again, lol. You'll notice in the 2nd vid, I cut out. I wasn't paying attention. And because of that, I couldn't make the cuts in the same cant. The cant was already thin at that point. AND! I noticed Dynamite ran different. And sounded different too. I found crap in the bowl and screen. So it is what it is. I just spent too much time breaking it down to check it over. Tired, and don't have enough energy for a vs again.

However!!!! Dynamite has some ass behind it. Damn. And TNT's cut was sensitive as I noted when my foot moved, the constant revs went away for a fraction of a second. I have to stop that type of action as I have lost a few by that much!!!!!

So with that said, Yokuts Valley this Saturday.

I wanted to take the time to thank some heads for helping me over the years. You guys know who you are.

I also wanted to take the time to let those builders who are just starting out, that it’s okay to deviate from past work that was done, in some cases, by Champions, or the likes of MVP.

What are the odds that this jet would flow 30% Nitro with only a .107 inlet drilled? And a Big Bore 3140 at that where more air is being introduced.

For those that are familiar with what is behind the jet membrane or not, the or***ce is smaller than .077 (In the 60’s for sure)

Don’t be afraid to take a different path. You never know in this Milky Way Galaxy.

14”x15 1/2” hard Euc. Good square race practice chain. 🔥 starting to happen 🏁

Hopefully see some of you at the races. Log “might be 32” this Saturday at Yokuts Valley.

Later Days and Happy Memorial weekend everyone. Frankie Gonzalez, gunner and medic from my bock in East L.A. I hope you are doing well in the Cosmos. And thank you for steering us kids from the Miller Block straight❤️‍🔥

My conscious got to me 😂

This was the 3rd cut, and this was the cut where the motor began to pull me forward. So much so, I had to adjust my leading foot 3 times!!!! I also hit the strap tightening assembly. Not going full bore at this point because of the lack of wood also. However, I will be building a steel cant holder soon. This s**t has to go.

Loving the instant lit candle. No fu***ng around waiting for the Nitro to 🔥
