We would like to thank Sweet Manufacturing for helping out our team again this year by providing us some critical steering components. We were able to utilize their extensive list of options for custom Ujoints to fit our car without needing to adapt any components!

This past weekend we officially retired UTR-27! We had a great run with our only two-year car in history (thanks to the pandemic) and we are already well underway with UTR-28 and look forward to a great 2022 season. We had a great time attending the annual Halloween parade at Close Park in North Toledo! We were able to show off the car and distribute some sweet treats to members of a local community.

We had a great time at the Down Syndrome Association of Greater Toledo Buddy Walk! After missing last year, it was great to go this event again in 2021. We were able to bring most of the team as well as the racecar down and got to meet lots of great people as well as get our photo taken with the University of Toledo Dancing Rockettes as well as a Toledo Police Department officer!

Tough week for the team. While completing our final safety test we suffered an engine failure that couldn’t be fixed in time. Not the result anyone wanted, but sadly it’s part of racing. The last year has taught us the power of perseverance and we’re already back in the shop working to rebuild and come back stronger.

Rocket Motorsports is proud to present it’s challenger for 2021… UTR-27! We will return to competition in just 2 days at Michigan International Speedway.

Building a car in normal years is hard, but that is nothing compared the challenges the last year has brought. We’d like to thank the UT College of Engineering for working with us to complete this car safely.

We also would like to thank our title sponsor, Dana Inc. as well as our many other sponsors for their continued support during these times. Lastly, we owe a huge thanks to SLI Custom Signs and Apparel here in Toledo for helping us make our livery a reality!
