This is a PVC water main. The amount of water/silt/rocks washing down this creek was on the verge of creating a major problem. The 12" inch PVC was sleeved with a 16" inch mild steel schedule 40 pipe split into two halves, sandwiched around the PVC and carefully welded back together. Two I-beams driven behind the pipe so itll have something to brace against the force comin down the creek. Upstream, the ductile iron water main was sagging and almost apart, installed two standoff pipe saddles which added support for the sag and also helps with the side pressure.
