Carlos Hernandez is just a good one. We are so blessed to have him serving on our board of directors.

He worked his 8–5 at Tish Lumber, showed up present and engaged for a long Chamber board meeting, and then headed straight out to coach little league football.

That is community. That is dedication. That is showing up.

We are incredibly thankful for Carlos and the time and heart he pours into Johnston County. People like him are what make our community so special. ❤️

🚨❤️ WOW… WHAT A DAY!!! ❤️🚨

Our 2nd Annual Back to School Drive was an absolute SUCCESS, and it’s all because of OUR AMAZING COMMUNITY! 🙌💙

Y’all showed up in a BIG way! We grilled and gave away over 200 burgers, handed out 120 backpacks filled with school supplies, kept everyone cool with FREE snow cones all day, and watched so many smiling faces walk away with awesome door prizes throughout the event! 🎒🍔🍧🎉

A HUGE shoutout to Laicho and Cristy for donating their time and talent to give 50+ FREE haircuts to local kids. 💈❤️ Because of your generosity, so many children will be walking into school with a fresh haircut, a new backpack, and the confidence they deserve.

This wasn’t just about backpacks or burgers—it was about showing our kids that this community believes in them. Seeing the smiles, the excitement, and families coming together is something we’ll never forget.

To every volunteer, every business, every person who donated, shared our posts, bought raffle tickets, or simply came out to support us… THANK YOU. You helped make a real difference in the lives of local children.

Congratulations, Gerald, on your retirement after 47 years of dedicated service! 👏🎉 Forty-seven years of hard work, loyalty, and commitment is something very few people can say they’ve accomplished.

Enjoy this next chapter—you’ve more than earned it. We wish you nothing but happiness, good health, and plenty of time doing the things you love.
