CESNW’s own survey crews have had the privilege of working in Lake Oswego peafowl territory with these curious bystanders.

Have you ever encountered the infamous peacock pride of Lake Oswego in the Lake Grove/Lake Forest neighborhoods? Wondering where they might be now?

They’ve been thoroughly enjoying sharing a residence with the Boones Ferry Road project crews and equipment in the staging yard at the corner of W. Sunset and Boones Ferry. The pride particularly love welcoming crews to work as they arrive in the mornings. They’ve become great companions and mascots of the project!

Throw Back Thursday – Murray Boulevard Stormwater Swale, Beaverton, Oregon
This project was originally designed as a stormwater detention pond, but eventually was converted to a stormwater filter basin for stormwater quality treatment. After some time, the capacity of the swale needed to be expanded and the City wanted to do it with a vegetated solution rather than the filter cartridge system that was in place. In addition to the storm pond retrofit, they also wished to extend and improve an existing pathway along the site and include lighting. The 50-acre drainage basin was evaluated and design flow determined. In order to accommodate the design flow and provide space for the pathway, a series of retaining walls were incorporated into the design. The vegetated swale included concrete flow spreaders to prevent short-circuiting, and maximize treatment effectiveness. CES|NW provided land surveying, civil engineering, and construction supervision.
