I was lucky to get some trigger time between training sessions this week. Not where I want to be yet, but I'm getting there and pushing my officers and other students to do the same.

Thank you to and for encouraging me to push my limits more this year. I hope approves lol.

First time using the hat cam Mrs. Tactical-ish got me for Christmas. Love it so far.

Tonight's study

This book was published in 1990 and even then, the author, Louis Awerbuck, calls out some clear issues where range training doesn't meet the needs of real world engagements. Even today, 36 years later, many of these obvious training failures continue in law enforcement, the military, and civilian training nationwide.

As an industry, we have to get better. Design training off real world data, not the myths of the red shirts that were certified as "instructors" in 1992.

What can you do in 30 minutes?
