🛶⭐Project Spotlight
Melodia Boat Launch Improvements | Thibodaux, LA

Improvements to the existing Melodia Boat Launch located along Bayou Lafourche were completed in 2024 as part of a Master Plan led by HTC. The project included the design of an aggregate entry drive and parking area, a two-lane boat launch, piers, a vinyl bulkhead, and a concrete wharf, along with ADA-compliant parking and accessible routes to the wharf and piers.

Earlier this year, the site was further enhanced with the addition of a 30’ x 30’ covered pavilion (with power) and connecting sidewalks.

We’re proud to have partnered with the Bayou Lafourche Fresh Water District to provide an improved boat launch for the Lafourche Parish community.

Survey Technician
Location: Thibodaux, LA & Covington, LA

High Tide Consultants, LLC is seeking an experienced Survey Technician to support our survey and engineering teams. This role is integral to delivering accurate survey documents and supporting successful project ex*****on.

Qualifications:
-Bachelor’s or associate degree in surveying, geomatics, or a related field (preferred).
- Minimum 5 years of experience in land survey drafting using AutoCAD Civil 3D or similar software (preferred).
- Proficiency in boundary, topographic, and construction surveying principles, including A.L.T.A. and commercial A.L.T.A. surveys with title review experience.
- Strong ability to interpret engineering plans, legal descriptions, and survey data.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Detail-oriented and able to work independently or as part of a team.

We appreciate the kind words and are proud to be a part of this project! It’s been great to see the progress come together, and we’re excited to see Bruiser's "The Hot Dog Place" become a great addition to the Covington community! 🌭🤩

We've been heads down on the build — and there's a lot to catch up on.

Since January we've cleaned out a possum-filled shed, knocked down walls, leveled the floors, threw a subfloor party with our community, built 26 parking spots, and delivered a 500-gallon grease trap.

None of this happens without great partners. American Bank has been with us from day one through the SBA process — we can't say enough about their support. And a special shoutout to Ricky Galloway with High Tide Consultants, our civil engineer. Ricky has been right there with us every step of the way — responsive, professional, and exactly the kind of person you want in your corner. True professionals are hard to find, and we found one.
