AMI originally contracted turnkey fabrication and installation projects for shipyards along the Gulf Coast. As the marine market changed, primarily because of increased workers compensation rates for over the water jobs, we, along with our clientele, realized that a fabrication facility that could supply shipyards and contractors with on time ducting systems, etc., was a very cost effective alternative to handling them in house.
