Duties will include: Management of testing on construction projects, testing of concrete, soils, and asphalt. This job is physical, frequently lifting over 50 pounds is required.

Good Monday Morning!
We have been getting a few calls on a base rock specification on an upcoming project. The project calls for a TxDot Type D, Grade 1-2. Type D is a crushed concrete that adheres to TxDot definition of a "Recycled Material" that is properly crushed and stockpiled. Type D can also be Type A material. Type A material is oversized material mined from a solid source and crushed. Type A cannot be mixed sources or gravel.
Grade 1-2 refers to the size/grading of the base, PI requirements, Wet Ball Test, and Compressive Strength.
