Burke Spring’s Choice at Volktoberfest this year was a 1971 VW Bus owned by Darrell Apple and this recipient was about so much more than just a vehicle! Darrell Apple is the type of person that this world needs more of! He is a friend to about anyone he meets and is always there to help or offer support! I started this 71 bus project years ago and the project had become work, and was no longer fun or stress relief. Darrell had a deal fall through on a different bus, so I decided it was time to pass the bus on to him to finish. Darrell took a vision that I started with and added his creativity as well! I knew I had made the right decision when he called me during the build and said “I am starting to fall in love with this Bus”! I absolutely love how he finished it.

At this year’s show Josie, Kevin and I decided unanimously to award him the Burke Spring’s Choice trophy! Thanks Darrell for everything, but most importantly your friendship!

This was Burke Springs choice at the Deluxe Detailing Carshow Saturday. This old Ford is absolutely beautiful and the story behind it is really cool. The original owner is 96 years old and his son now shows the car and brings his father along with him! Love this so much!

Check out this really odd Jeep that was brought to us for spring work! This was a company that took these Jeeps when they were new and made them dual rear wheel, 3 point hitch in the rear and plow attachment for the front! Very unique and probably rare piece!
