What Is Titanium Grade 23 Powder?

Titanium Grade 23, also known as Ti-6Al-4V ELI (Extra Low Interstitial), is a premium titanium alloy containing approximately 6% aluminum and 4% vanadium.
What separates Grade 23 from standard Grade 5 titanium is its tighter limits on interstitial elements, particularly oxygen, nitrogen, and iron. These controlled levels help improve ductility and fracture toughness, making Grade 23 especially valuable for demanding applications.
When processed into fine, spherical powder, Grade 23 becomes an excellent candidate for metal additive manufacturing technologies such as Laser Powder Bed Fusion (LPBF) and Electron Beam Powder Bed Fusion (EB-PBF)
