This is one of the most labor Intensive restorations yet. But also one of my favorites. These Vietnam era M-16 storage boxes were in really bad shape. Spent countless hrs with a hammer and dolly to get them back in shape. Added a little powder and some of my imagination and they are ready to go. Thank you Joe Harrison for giving me free rein in the restoration. I really enjoyed this one.

Love coating the hotrod parts, a mixture of Cerakote and Powdercoat. Headers and crossover piping in Burnt bronze, turbo and down pipe in Glacier black and charge pipe in Super mirror black.

Here is some of our Cerakoting on a 224cc Predator engine. This 6hp engine is now making over 20hp. Coatings on the piston, head, valves and ports are insulating piston coating. It helps keep from heat soaking the piston and the head. This helps with fighting off detonation.The external coatings are heat dissipating. This helps in keeping the engine cooler by shedding the heat faster. The header is a insulating coating good for over 1800+ degrees in this Brnt Bronze color and over 2000 in the Black.
Theres a reason cerakote is used in Top Fuel engines and on parts of the Space Shuttle. It is the best on the market.
If you are having coating done make sure the applicator understands the coatings. Using a coating in the wrong application can cause overheating and we all know heat is the enemy. Use it right and it can help you get better performance and reliability than you have ever had. Cerakote isn't just for Cosmetics....
