Not that I’m counting or anything… 😅

I’ve been working on designs today to help keep myself occupied, and this one is about halfway-ish done. What do y’all think so far?

I swear this cast was no big deal at first, but it’s getting a whole lot harder to sit still and do less. The orders, the projects, the shop, the dogs, the events… my brain is moving about 100 mph whilr the rest of me is supposed to be parked on the couch.

At this point I’m starting to look at the sheetmetal shears in the shop and thinking they could probably make pretty quick work of this cast. 🤔✂️😂

(Don’t worry. I won’t. Probably.)

Until then, I’ll keep plugging away on designs, try not to do too much in the shop and try really 🦊ing hard to behave while counting down the days until June 9th.

Anybody else hit the point in recovery where sitting still became harder than the actual surgery? 😅

It’s been a minute since we’ve shown off some of our custom name signs 👀🔥

But yes — we absolutely still make them to order!

These are fully custom plasma-cut signs and can be done in all kinds of styles, colors, finishes, and themes. We can keep them clean and simple or go full extra with layered colors, metallics, pearls, clear coat shine, distressed finishes… you already know we love the dramatic stuff 😅🤘

Current pricing for our larger custom name signs:
• Custom name signs are $80
• Signs generally run around 20” x 20” give or take some depending on the design
• If you want to add extra custom flare outside the name we can for extra pricing.
• All custom signs are paid upfront before cutting

Every sign is designed and cleaned up in Fusion 360 for plasma cutting, and we always send a proof before anything gets cut 👏

Happy Memorial Day from Jigsaw Metal Works & Designs 🇺🇸

Today isn’t just about cookouts, long weekends, or time off work. It’s about remembering the people who never got to come home. The men and women who gave everything — their futures, their families, their lives — so the rest of us could continue living ours in freedom.

Freedom has never been free. It was paid for by people who missed birthdays, holidays, first steps, graduations… and by families who still carry those empty spaces every single day.

So today, while we enjoy the freedom to gather with family, laugh with friends, work our small businesses, chase dreams, and live the lives we choose… take a moment to remember the reason we can.

Jiggy and all of us here at the shop are sending love and gratitude to every service member, veteran, and Gold Star family today. ❤️🐾🇺🇸

Saturday send off! 🎉📦

That HUGE trophy order is officially in the mail! 😅🔥
26 trophies down and headed out! I’ll be doing a full reveal video soon because these things deserve their moment 👀✨

AND this officially makes the 3rd thing we’ve shipped out of state headed to New Jersey! 🌎✈️ Which honestly feels kinda crazy for this tiny business 😭❤️

After surviving that chaos, I decided I earned a much needed coffee run ☕🤣

But don’t worry… the metal madness is not slowing down over here. Next up on the list:
🏆 another trophy order (thankfully only 12 this time 😬)
🛻 2 Truck Gathering signs
⚡ 2 custom signs

Going to attempt to knock all of this out over the next couple weeks while balancing this whole “crippled flamingo” situation 😂

And before anyone asks… yes, there is STILL more work lined up after these 🤯 which honestly is both amazing and slightly terrifying LOL.

Trophies, trophies, and more trophies 😅🔥

The shop might currently be 97% trophies, paint fumes, glitter, pearl, and controlled chaos at this point 😂

Sneak peeks are officially dropping because there are SO MANY cool ones in the works right now and honestly… seeing them all hanging up together is kinda satisfying 👀

We’ve got:
✨ metallics
✨ pearls
✨ layered pieces
✨ custom colors
✨ sparkles that pictures absolutely refuse to do justice
✨ and probably enough clear coat to remove a few brain cells 😅

Every single one gets cut, cleaned, prepped, painted, cleared, and assembled right here in our little chaos factory at Jigsaw Metal Works & Designs ❤️

Now excuse me while I continue limping around the shop like a feral pirate trying to keep up with all these orders 😂☠️

Fun Fact Friday: Since a bunch of people have asked what exactly they did to my foot, here’s the “why Brittany is currently hobbling around like an angry pirate” explanation 😂

So apparently my feet like to be dramatic.

First issue: I had a bone spur on the inside of my big toe joint that was basically pinching everything and shoving my toe out of place. So they went in, ground that off, and straightened my toe back out. Honestly, as dumb as it sounds, I think this part has been the WORST pain wise 😅

THEN because apparently I always win the weird medical lottery, I had something called an accessory navicular bone. Apparently only around 14% of people even have one and most of the time it causes zero issues… but obviously my body said “nah let’s make this difficult.” 🤦🏻‍♀️

That extra bone was causing the tendon that supports my arch to tear. So they had to REMOVE the extra bone, repair the tendon, and re-anchor it back down.

BUT WAIT. THERE’S MORE. 😅😅

My doctor also said my arch needed more support or I’d probably end up tearing everything again later and needing another surgery. So their solution was:
“Let’s cut your heel bone with a saw, slide it over, and screw it back together.”

Sir. That sounds less like surgery and more like we entered the Saw movies 😭😂

So yes… that is why I’m currently trapped in this giant cast contemplating bad decisions… like cutting it off and building myself some kind of more comfortable brace setup instead 👀😅

What do y’all think… would my doctor be impressed with the innovation or immediately ban me from being left unsupervised? 😂

Meanwhile I’m still over here trying to run a business, parent a toddler, keep dogs alive, and make metal things while functioning on one leg 🤣 My life always stays interesting lol!

Out here looking like I lost a fight with a lawn mower but still trying to sling paint because these trophies aren’t gonna finish themselves.

Jigsaw supervised from his emotional support cot like an exhausted middle manager who’s one inconvenience away from quitting.

He’s over there looking like:
‘Ma’am… OSHA, the vet, your doctor AND common sense would all like a meeting.’ 😭

At this point the knee scooter is basically part of the business inventory. Jigsaw Metal Works & Medical Transportation LLC 😭

If y’all hear a loud crash from my shop, don’t panic. It’s probably just me trying to turn around with the paint hose wrapped around the scooter while balancing on one foot like a drunk flamingo with bills to pay.

Doesn’t matter how many battle wounds ya got, these trophies aren’t gonna paint themselves. 😂🔥

So crank up Ain’t No Rest for the Wicked and let’s lay down some more of this black pearl magic because deadlines don’t care about swollen feet, wrapped up legs, or my complaints apparently. 💀🖤✨

Shop update from management: apparently WE are taking a rest day today. 🙄

After 3 days in a row of shop time, the human’s leg started acting dramatic again, so there were no sparks flying today. As you can see, Jiggy is handling this devastating news extremely poorly. 😂

He has spent the day aggressively judging me from his bed surrounded by every toy he owns like a tiny unemployed dragon protecting his hoard.

No metal worked on today, but designs/messages are still being worked on while I keep this foot up and pretend I know how to rest. 😅

Hopefully tomorrow we can get back to painting before the shop dog files an official complaint with HR.
