Celebrating 15 Years with ESI! Today we’re proud to recognize Ed Taylor Safety Director and Adam Camacho, Senior Mechanical Designer for 15 years of dedication, hard work, and commitment to ESI. Starting in the warehouse as a delivery driver, Ed has taken on countless roles throughout the years, always stepping up wherever needed. From rigging and hoisting operations to supporting the warehouse and sheet metal work, he has been a key part of the team every step of the way. Now leading safety initiatives, he continues to make an impact across the company — and recently earned the 2025 Everett Eames Award. Adam first joined ESI after graduating from Wentworth and returned shortly after. Over the years, he has played a major role in HVAC design/build projects and now leads pre-construction coordination through BIM and 3D design. His expertise and leadership earned him a promotion to Senior Mechanical Designer in 2022. Thank you both for 15 incredible years at ESI!

Fire Protection Friday! Our Fire Protection Division recently completed upgrades at the Old Sturbridge Village Visitor’s Center. Delivering new wet and dry sprinkler systems throughout the facility while keeping the building fully operational during construction. This project showcased seamless coordination between our Fire Protection and Fire Alarm divisions, with all design, hydraulic calculations, permitting, installation, testing, and commissioning completed in-house by ESI. From the auditorium and common areas to the Clock Gallery, our team worked closely with OSV Facilities and the project engineering team to deliver a code-compliant life safety solution built to protect the space for years to come.

We’re thrilled to announce the promotion of Manny Ferreira to Mechanical Service Manager! Over the past 15 years at ESI, Manny has been a driving force behind the growth and success of our service team. His leadership, dedication, and commitment have helped shape the department into what it is today. In his new role, Manny will lead the day-to-day operations of our mechanical service team while continuing to drive growth and long-term success. Another successful chiller plant project completed! Our Centrifugal Service Division recently performed a full scope of maintenance and upgrades on an 18,240 MBH plant with two 760-ton Trane CenTraVac units. The work included purge and oil filter changes, detailed oil analysis to identify any signs of wear, and condenser tube punching to improve efficiency. The team also completed eddy current testing and boroscope inspections to ensure everything is operating at peak performance. To further protect and extend the life of the equipment, we applied professional epoxy coatings to the condenser heads, tube sheets, and waterboxes, calibrated the refrigerant leak detection systems, as well as coordinated independent lab testing to confirm proper water chemistry. Last Friday, Environmental Systems, Inc. had the opportunity to visit fellow Unified Group members, VHV Company in Vermont! Jenna Lemoi and Walt Sousa toured their facility and met with their team to discuss best practices and key challenges.

During two breakout sessions, Walt met with the sales team to collaborate on estimating service contracts, CRM software, and overcoming other challenges within the service group. Jenna met with the HR team to discuss talent acquisition strategies and marketing insights. It was a great opportunity to exchange ideas, learn from one another, and strengthen their collaboration. They're excited to continue building on this partnership!
