If you're running a fleet, the "OEM vs aftermarket" question isn't just a binary choice - it's a 30 day cycle of decision-making all over again. And every 30 days, you're throwing away real cash. 👇

All in with OEM = your budget is going nowhere fast. And all in with aftermarket = you're just asking for a world of trouble with no warranty to speak of and downtime that nobody planned for.

Smart fleets figure out a way to moderate between the two. Here's a general framework to keep in mind:

🟢 Go OEM on the stuff that counts

ECMs and control modules - don't even think about taking a chance\

Emissions parts - if you don't have a warranty for DEF dosers, NOx sensors, and DPF, you're asking for trouble\

Wiring harnesses on newer trucks - pay the extra money for the peace of mind\

Any other bit that is still under warranty - just don't be a cheapskate - pay the money if it's electronic, emissions related, or still under factory warranty. We've learned that rule of thumb the hard way - just go OEM on those items

The most expensive way to buy truck parts? One part at a time
One at a time is a surefire way to drain your wallet. Let's work out the numbers, shall we? 👇

You've got something going on underneath the hood and it starts leaking. You order the one part you need, pay for it, pay shipping, then wait two days. Then it's in and done - or so you think.

Fast forward to three weeks later and the part next to it gives up the ghost. You've got to order again. Pay for shipping once more. Wait around again. Lose another day of work in the process.

Time to do the actual math:

🔧 Part #1: $120 to buy the part, another $25 for shipping, and just a single day of lost time (yeah, let's say $500) = $645 . Its not like you kept going to the office for that day either... 🔧 Part #2, delivered three weeks later: $80 for the part, $25 for shipping, and another lost day. Let's say that day off the road cost you $500 = $605. You're at $1,250 so far

Now imagine you did it the smart way - buying the pair of parts at once. That worked out to $200 for the parts and just ONE shipping fee ($25), plus that one lost day at work ($500 ) giving us a grand total of $725

1️⃣ "Why are you more expensive than Amazon or eBay?" The thing is - when you buy online, you're essentially buying a photo and crossing your fingers that it's going to match. And when it doesn't (which it often doesn't) you're stuck dealing with returns, disputes, refunds and other headaches that leave you sitting around with your truck out of commission. We, on the other hand, verify the part number, make sure it's the right fit and that it's in good condition before we even let it leave the warehouse.

2️⃣ "What if the part doesn't fit?" Look we'll refund or replace it straight away - no questions asked. But if you give us a little bit of information upfront like make, model, year and engine - the chances of getting the wrong part are virtually zero. We check fitment before we ship - not after you discover you've got a problem.
