The ideal candidate will bring 5+ years of civil engineering experience, a solid background in civil site design, and strong proficiency in Autodesk Civil 3D. A Professional Engineer (PE) license is required (or the ability to obtain one within 24 months). Project design experience and expertise in Western Washington stormwater design are strong assets.

Apex Engineering had a blast celebrating Halloween with their annual chili cook-off and costume contest! This year, seven talented employees whipped up their homemade chilis for everyone to try. Each chili was so unique and tasty that it was tough to pick a favorite! In fact, the cook-off ended in an tie between Lyn and Kurt.

The costume contest added even more fun to the festivities. Some of the standout costumes included Earth, Wind, and Fire (Tim, Kim and Tres), Keith 2.0 (twin of our wonderful drafter, Keith, worn by Lexie), a hot dog (the adorable office dog, Bowie), Billy from Stranger Things (Rory), Walter White from Breaking Bad (Scott), Old Man Rob (Robert), Perdita from 101 Dalmatians (Carlyn), a Lucha Libre wrestler (Jason), and Andy Reid (Emily). In the end, Andy Reid took home the top prize, even without a cheeseburger!

Apex really knows how to make the workplace fun, and this year’s Halloween celebration was no exception!

Apex Engineering LLC had a fantastic time at their annual Team Habitat Build Day with Tacoma/Pierce County Habitat for Humanity where they helped clean up three of Habitat’s renovation properties in Spanaway. Apex worked in the front and backyards doing tasks that ranged from jack-hammering cement to planting beautiful landscaping. It was rewarding to see the property transform into something special that any homeowner would be proud to own. Apex has worked with Habitat for Humanity for several years in the office on projects such American Lake Townhomes and Madison Meadows and it is gratifying to see the projects come to life at Team Habitat Build Days such as these.

Despite the rain, it was another fantastic Night Out at the Ballpark event held annually by Apex Engineering at Cheney Stadium in Tacoma. Being such a tight-knit team in the office makes it easy to enjoy socializing with coworkers’ friends and families at events like these! After a long rain delay, the Tacoma Rainiers beat the Sacramento River Cats 15-4 with an incredible fire work show to follow. The food was fantastic and drinks were delectable; but the company was by far what made the night. Apex couldn’t have asked for anything better (besides a little less rain perhaps).

Congratulations Team Apex, for winning FIRST PLACE (lowest net) in Land Surveyors' Association of Washington's 32nd Annual Walker Cup Golf Tournament on August 23rd! Despite the rainy weather, Bonnie Mayo, Robert Judge, Kurt Parcher and Rory Eurom took first place and brought the Walker cup home! Way to go team!

Apex took advantage of Tacoma’s beautiful weather and had a parking lot barbecue last Wednesday during lunch. We were fortunate to have our recently retired employee, Joe Blankenship make an appearance! Thank you Rory Eurom for being the grill master and Sarah Holt Munn for planning and setting everything up! It is always fun getting the engineering, surveying and planning staff together during the work day for some social time.

What a great time Apex Engineering LLC had on Saturday helping build homes for Tacoma/Pierce County Habitat for Humanity! The site of our Team Build day was one Apex developed in Tillicum. We were able to work alongside some of the future Habitat for Humanity homeowners. Seeing a project go from paper to construction is always rewarding, especially when we're the ones hammering nails!

It was another successful Night Out at the Ballpark for Apex! What a fun time it was enjoying the game with employees’ families and friends. The Rainiers pulled off an impressive 10-4 win against the Las Vegas Aviators and the night ended with a fantastic firework show. We couldn’t have asked for anything better!

We took advantage of the sunshine and had a parking lot barbecue on Tuesday during lunch. Thank you Rory Eurom for grilling up some tasty burgers, brats and salmon and Sarah Holt Munn for planning and setting everything up! It was a great time for the engineering, surveying and planning staff to all get together and have some fun during the work day.
