Are you passionate about creating safe, productive work environments? At JPW Structural Contracting, we’re looking for a hands-on Plant Safety Manager to lead safety initiatives, drive compliance, and make a real impact on our people and projects.
In this 50-hour work week role (with overtime paid after 40 hours), you will take ownership of training, inspections, audits, and safety program implementation, ensuring every team member goes home safe—every day. Your expertise will help us not only meet, but exceed, our safety standards and customer expectations.

Key Duties & Responsibilities
• Manage and maintain all safety documentation, procedures, and programs
• Continuously improve the company safety program
• Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local safety regulations
• Lead safety training programs and promote best work practices
• Perform Job Hazard Analyses (JHA) and implement corrective measures
• Coordinate Industrial Hygiene (IH) exposure assessments
• Develop and maintain safety procedures (LOTO, Fall Protection, PPE, etc.)
• Conduct safety audits, inspections, and incident investigations
• Track and report injuries, corrective actions, and safety performance
• Lead weekly, monthly, and annual safety training sessions
• Enforce safety policies and disciplinary procedures
• Support supervisors with audits and continuous improvement efforts
• Maintain safety records, reports, and compliance documentation
• Conduct toolbox talks and contribute to safety meetings
• Inspect equipment and ensure proper use of PPE
• Promote a proactive, safety-first culture across all teams

Skills & Qualifications
• Strong leadership and conflict resolution skills
• Excellent communication and presentation abilities
• In-depth knowledge of EH&S regulations and safety programs
• Experience with HAZCOM, Confined Space, Fall Protection, LOTO, PPE, and more
• CPR and First Aid certification (required)
• Experience with industrial environments (steel fabrication, rigging, welding, etc.)
• Ability to train teams and deliver safety presentations
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
• Minimum 5+ years of safety experience in industrial or construction environments
• Equipment certifications (forklift, aerial lift, boom lift, etc.) preferred
• Strong interpersonal skills with ability to work across all levels

Physical Requirements
• Pass pre-employment drug screening
• Lift and carry up to 50 lbs regularly
• Ability to climb ladders and work at heights
• Work in high-noise environments
• Maintain acceptable visual acuity
