🤣 Illinois, This Is Not a Drill — Grab Your G‑Locks Before the Governor “Nope’s” Them Out of Existence 🤣
Listen… I woke up this morning, checked the news, and nearly spit out my coffee.
Apparently Springfield is cooking up another batch of “We swear this makes sense” legislation — and rumor has it they’ve got their eyes on G‑Locks now.

Yes. G‑Locks.
The pistols so reliable they’d probably still fire after being dropped in a bowl of chili.

Lawmakers: “We’re not banning anything.”
Also lawmakers: writes a definition so broad it includes half the items in a Bass Pro catalog.

So before the state decides that your favorite polymer friend is now a “convertible, semi‑semi‑maybe‑kinda‑scary device,” you might want to look at what’s still legal TODAY:

No panic. No drama. Just Illinois doing Illinois things.
Stay informed, stay legal, and stay laughing so you don’t cry.

🚨 Illinois’ “G***k Bill” (HB4471): What Illinois Gun Owners Need To Know 🚨
Illinois lawmakers are pushing HB4471, better known as the “G***k Bill.”
Even though the bill never says G***k, its definitions target G***k‑pattern pistols and anything built on a G***k‑style platform.

Here’s the quick breakdown 👇

🔍 What HB4471 Does
HB4471 creates a new category called “convertible pistols.”
A pistol falls into this category if it:

• Is semiautomatic
• Uses a cruciform trigger bar (a G***k design feature)
• Can be “readily altered” to fire automatically

➡️ In plain English: This bill is written in a way that overwhelmingly targets G***k pistols and G***k‑pattern builds.

🚫 What Would Become Illegal
HB4471 does NOT ban possession.

But it would ban:

• Selling
• Buying
• Trading
• Transferring
• Importing
• Manufacturing

…any pistol that fits their “convertible” definition.

If passed, you could keep your G***k — but you couldn’t buy, sell, or transfer one in Illinois.

💸 Penalties
• 1st offense: $10,000 civil fine
• 2nd offense: $25,000 fine + mandatory license revocation for dealers

This bill is a business‑killer for Illinois FFLs.

📅 Current Status
HB4471 was re‑referred to the Rules Committee — not dead, not passed, but very much alive.

Illinois gun owners should keep an eye on this one.
