It’s Fourth of July weekend, and things are heating up, not just outside, but in the spirit of celebration! 🎇

At McIver Engineering & Controls, we’re usually deep in the world of industrial automation and custom control systems... but today, we’re shifting gears to celebrate some fun and totally random U.S. history facts 🇺🇸👇

1️⃣ Only 2 people actually signed the Declaration of Independence on July 4, 1776 — the rest added their names later!

2️⃣ Both John Adams and Thomas Jefferson passed away on July 4, 1826, the 50th anniversary of the Declaration.

3️⃣ The Liberty Bell hasn’t rung since 1846 because a crack silenced it during a July 4th celebration that year.

4️⃣ Fireworks have been a tradition since the beginning! The first official Fourth of July fireworks lit up the sky in 1777.

5️⃣ Calvin Coolidge is the only U.S. President born on July 4th. 🎂🎆
