– 4th of July Edition 🎆

It’s Fourth of July weekend, and things are heating up, not just outside, but in the spirit of celebration! 🎇

At McIver Engineering & Controls, we’re usually deep in the world of industrial automation and custom control systems... but today, we’re shifting gears to celebrate some fun and totally random U.S. history facts 🇺🇸👇

1️⃣ Only 2 people actually signed the Declaration of Independence on July 4, 1776 — the rest added their names later!

2️⃣ Both John Adams and Thomas Jefferson passed away on July 4, 1826, the 50th anniversary of the Declaration.

3️⃣ The Liberty Bell hasn’t rung since 1846 because a crack silenced it during a July 4th celebration that year.

4️⃣ Fireworks have been a tradition since the beginning! The first official Fourth of July fireworks lit up the sky in 1777.

5️⃣ Calvin Coolidge is the only U.S. President born on July 4th. 🎂🎆

From all of us at McIver, we hope your weekend is filled with freedom, fun, and a little extra sparkle. ✨

Have a safe and happy 4th of July!!!

We’ll be back Monday, doing what we do best: powering American manufacturing with innovative automation solutions.

🚨 $34 billion.

That’s the cost companies have absorbed due to ongoing tariffs, according to a new Reuters analysis. And with continued uncertainty in global trade policies, that number is only climbing.

At McIver Engineering & Controls, we understand how these pressures affect the bottom line—especially for manufacturers relying on imported components. That’s why we go beyond building world-class industrial control panels and automation systems—we strategically source and support.

🔧 How we help our customers stay ahead:
✅ Strong vendor relationships allow us to identify alternative parts quickly—often at better lead times and lower costs.
✅ We proactively source from U.S.-based or tariff-free suppliers when possible, helping our customers bypass cost spikes.
✅ Our engineering team helps re-spec and redesign panels with more cost-effective, compliant components—without sacrificing performance.

When the trade landscape gets unpredictable, we provide stability—through smart sourcing, flexible engineering, and a commitment to protecting our customers’ bottom line.

If tariffs are putting pressure on your margins, let’s talk about how we can help reduce the impact without compromising quality.

The toll is expected to rise as ongoing uncertainty over tariffs paralyzes decision making.
