After 9 years, we are closed and all that remains is the wall of shredding. It’s always a difficult thing to let go of when you’ve given so much. I’m grateful to SolarCity & Harmon Electric who were the top longest customers over the past years and wish you well. Thank you all for your support.

It’s everyone’s dream to own his/her home. With that comes the responsibility to the upkeep and maintenance. It’s far too often that the inexperienced new owner feels a sense of, “project mode”. However, there are those projects that we can achieve in confidence and safely. Please take the time to properly educate yourself prior to these new projects and never, under any circumstances, cut something in your attic unless you know what it’s function is and are safe to do so. A little shopping around for a licensed professional can help you without cleaning out your wallet.

When building your own projects, make sure that you know the material in use. Below is an example of a bad choice for home-made trusses. While it might appear as a standard metal gusset plate, it is for "non-structural" use only.

Easy-to-use mending plates provide non-structural, wood-to-wood connections. No nails or notching of wood are required.

Helpful tip when using Outlook 2013 - Issue: Sent an email exceeded 20meg & receiving a never ending dialog box error with nothing in your "Outbox".

Fix:

1) Work Offline (send/receive tab, click work offline, status at bottom will say offline. you may have to restart outlook)
2) File, info, mailbox cleanup, Find items larger than 9999 kilobytes. I Marked the ones found as unread so you can I could refer to them. You can flag them or move to new inbox etc.
3) search for all unread emails (or whatever) and move those to a local or archive folder that is not on the MAPI server.
4) click the work Offline and it should connect and sync with no error message. Repeat as necessary if it does.
Note, at first I tried a search folder but that only looks for an individual attachment size not the whole size of the email. You have to do a "Cleanup" search and your limited to 9999 kilobytes. But that will list the large emails your looking for.
