Our GXT 2555R shear is about 22 feet long and 8 feet tall, but you'd never guess that by looking at it next to the Portsmouth X-333 Process Building!

Excavators operate in unison during demolition of the southwest corner of the Portsmouth X-333 Process Building, while water misting systems are used to control the dust during demolition.

Our 30-ton GXT 2555R is taking down this large process building formerly used for uranium enrichment at the Portsmouth Gaseous Diffusion Plant.

One of two modified carriers is assembled for demolition of the Portsmouth X-333 Process Building. These shears possess a cutting force of 3,300 tons, while typical construction shears’ cutting force is only around 1,300 tons.
