R.I.P. Rocco Calaci! Please say a prayer for him, his loving wife Leanne Slay Calaci and family!
My dear friend, esteemed professional and the greatest Meteorologist I ever knew, Rocco Calaci passed away Friday, unexpectedly, after he graced us with, what I know now was his last Tropical Weather Update.

He was not only witty, friendly, loving, but a very intelligent individual.

This is unbelievably hard as I’ve been exchanging emails with him throughout the day on Friday about Family, weather and anything else in between, after he sent me, and others the last weather update.

This is such a hard loss for everyone who knew him.

A Titan of his time, and True and Genuine Friend to so many. Words don’t even do justice to describe the loss and pain Rocco leaves behind him, and to the industry as a whole.

Would never forget our deep, yet simple conversations every time we met, even on the steps or hallways of the Courthouse.

I’ll forever miss his daily Tropical Update every Hurricane Season, and providing us all with no non-sense intelligent advice when to take cover and be ready!
