IntraOp Medical

IntraOp Medical IntraOp uses the power and precision of electron therapy to advance patient treatment. We made electrons portable.

Our compact and mobile linear accelerators empower oncologists to deliver Intraoperative radiation therapy (IORT) as well as Superficial Electron Therapy IntraOp Medical Corporation is the pioneer in portable electron-beam Intraoperative Radiation Therapy (IORT). Since introducing the Mobetron in 1993, IntraOp has transformed cancer treatment by bringing the only reliable and self-shielded radiati

on technology into the operating room. And by bringing safe radiation to the patient, we have transformed cancer treatment and united the relationship between radiation oncology and surgery. For patients and their families, it means markedly shorter treatment and recovery times, improved cosmesis, greater comfort and quality of life. Leading surgical and radiation oncologists will attest to electron-beam Intraoperative Radiation Therapy as a core component of their comprehensive cancer program. The Mobetron by IntraOp is used extensively in hospitals, university research centers, and specialized cancer clinics in North America, Europe and Asia.

IntraOp is excited to share the results for ultra-high dose rate FLASH radiotherapy survival and toxicity in independent murine studies by MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, TX, and CHUV | Lausanne university hospital in Lausanne, Switzerland, made possible by the IntraOp Mobetron with FLASH-IQ.*

This independent study also validates the robustness of the FLASH-IQ platform in reproducible FLASH effects. The study's findings suggest that "... using beam parameters that are known to evoke FLASH effects can lead to responses that are robust and reproducible across machines and institutions..." (Jean Bourhis et al.).

We are proud to support these seminal investigational studies with the stability, linearity, and reproducibility of IntraOp Mobetron with FLASH-IQ.

FLASH radiation therapy (RT) is a promising new paradigm in radiation oncology. However, a major question that remains is the robustness and reproducibility of the FLASH effect when different irradiators are used on animals or patients with different genetic backgrounds, diets, and microbiomes, all....
