The founder of Sabersmith fell in the battle against cancer this past Sunday. Tim Lawler was the man who started it all, with a stubborn refusal to give up on his crazy dream of making real battle ready swords in a small town in Michigan. Now it's almost 30 years later, and we here at Sabersmith Swords are ready to continue his legacy under the leadership of Tim's right hand, Mark Lienhart.

We'll all miss Tim and drink some Moosehead beer (his favorite) in his honor while he enjoys himself up in Valhalla.

For those of you who personally knew Tim over the years, we'd love to see any photos you have with him at the festivals or out in the "real" world.
