Rob works in production at our Middlefield location, where he rotates between the trim
department and panel rollforming line. He has been with Premier Metals since 2024.

His favorite part of the job is making unique trims to the customer’s specs. He feels our company value of Teamwork is most important, because when everyone works together, it reflects our other values as well.

In his free time, Rob competes in pool tournaments. He also enjoys rollerblading on the ramps and rails at skateparks all over. His dream vacation spot would be Australia.

Ohioans, who else has noticed it's a regular thing now for there to be severe winds?

We know some places may have been worse than others, but word on the street is that winds got up to 75 mph.

It can be scary wondering if your home or business can withstand this kind of wind. Really, storms in general, since they've been pretty wicked lately!

If you have any doubts about the current condition, we recommend a roof inspection. If you know you're ready to make some changes, metal roofing is known for its durability.

Not all the Spring cleaning is inside the house.

It's a great time of year to refresh the outside of your house as well.

Both our WeatherXL and Kynar 500® finishes are resistant to many elements, such as air pollution, acid rain, and dirt, but regularly removing the build-up of residue helps extend the life of the coating on your roofing panels.

Kynar 500® coated panels can often be cleaned with plain water and pressure washing equipment. However, if more thorough cleaning is needed for either your Kynar 500® or Weather XL panels, you can do so with a variety of methods.

📌 Cleaning Tip #1

You can apply a 5% solution in water of commonly used commercial cleaner with a cloth and follow with a quick rinse.

If you need to use a solvent on tougher residue, such as tar, grease, or oil paint, we recommend researching more as many solvents are flammable and toxic.

📌 Cleaning Tip #2

Rust stains can be removed by diluting hydrochloric, citric, or muriatic acid or vinegar with 10 volumes of water and limiting contact to the surface to 5 minutes, followed by a thorough rinse.

📌 Cleaning Tip #3

If you have stubborn mildew to remove, we recommend the following solution:
• 1/3 cup dry powdered laundry detergent
• 1 qt sodium hypochlorite 5% solution (ex. Clorox bleach)
• 3 qts water

📌 Other Helpful Tips:

• Don't use wire brushes or abrasive tools
• Always test the cleaning agents in an inconspicuous area before applying to the entire roof
• Please dispose of the cleaning solutions in an environmentally friendly manner
