Solarcraft Field Services recently completed maintenance at a mainline valve site located near Denver International Airport in Colorado.

In this area, high winds scream across the plains, as was evidenced when the service call had to be cut short due to 40MPH gusts of wind and dust. The weather cleared the next day, and our Field Service crew completed their work.

Concrete Ballast Blocks - Here’s How We Make Them!

Solarcraft concrete ballast blocks are designed to replace concrete equipment pads at pipeline locations. The blocks have forklift slots and a galvanized Unistrut attachment channel that is reinforced by anchors and rebar.

Our Field Service teams usually drive to locations in an F350 pickup. But not always...

This solar installation, which included 16-400W solar panels, two 70” enclosures, and 36 batteries, is in a shallow-water marsh in Southern Louisiana. Two boats were needed. The large boat ferried the components across a wide channel. To get to the pipeline platform, an airboat was used to “hop” over a levee into another inlet where the pipeline is located.

When you are working way out here, you better remember to bring your truck keys with you when you leave at the end of the day…or you’ll be back! Lesson learned!
