AMADAS Industries American Made * Advanced Design * Absolute Service In early 1963, a successful partnership was formed between Oliver K. Hobbs and J. Carlie Adams.

The partnership combined engineering, manufacturing, and marketing expertise to produce a new generation of peanut harvesting and processing machinery. During the decades that followed, new products were added to meet the needs of the marketplace. Today Amadas Industries produces equipment in Suffolk, VA, Albany, GA. and Cordoba, Argentina.

This , let's go back about twenty five years to Beaufort County, NC, where farmer Gary Respass was on his second season using the AMADAS SPC (Cotton Stalk Puller/Chopper) to clear up his cotton stalks after harvest. The newer AMADAS SPCs you'll see in the fields over the upcoming weeks may look similar to the one in the video, but twenty five years of incremental upgrades and improvements makes for an entirely new machine!

Recently, our friend Lily McLamb at the North Carolina Peanut Growers Association captured this meaningful conversation in the field between farmer Tim Newsome and AMADAS Senior Engineer Josey Peele.

With drought conditions creating challenges, Tim reached out for help. Josey showed up in person, put his expertise to work, and helped get the AMADAS digger dialed in and performing exactly as it should.
