A message from our wonderful Lauren Hensley:
I am so excited and grateful to share some personal news with you.
As many of you know, I have been the General Manager of IMS since 2015. I absolutely love Indian Motorcycle Sturgis. I love the people of IMS, the family of IMS, the town of Sturgis, and the amazing brand Indian Motorcycle. As a team alongside an awesome customer community, we have been the #1 Indian Motorcycle Dealership in the Nation for the last decade. I am so proud of this place! Thank you for all the support!
Back in May, a wonderful local Family purchased Indian Motorcycle Sturgis. The prior owner hand-picked this family, as they have done good business together since the 70's! These people are amazing! They have lifelong roots in Sturgis, they ride, and they love the culture and customers of IMS. I am so grateful for them!
Because these people are so good, and I know they want to see this place stay incredible and get even better, my husband and I made the decision to allow my heart's dream to come true.
As some of you may have noticed, I haven't been around the shop as much lately. I have had it in my heart for a long time to be more present with my 3 young kids. Time is flying by and in the blink of an eye, one of them is as tall as me! (I guess that's not that hard to do 🙂) I don't want to miss it, and I have made the choice to go home for a while.
To say I struggled with the decision is an understatement. It is so hard to leave something you love. Something that gave me a home, something I am so proud of, and the people that really became family to me. Life presented the perfect situation, and I am so excited to see what is next for IMS.
With that, I would love to tell you that Matt Hensley was presented with the General Manager position!!! WHOOP WHOOP!!! The same guy who's been keeping the wheels turning @ IMS is now the Leader! Matt and I have worked side by side for 21 years, and he has been my partner in all things. He knows who you are, he knows how we do things, and he knows the value of good relationships! Plus, I'll be his best cheerleader along the way! Please stop by and give him a hard time! He's been practicing his hugs. LOL
I am so grateful for all the years! Thank you to the staff of IMS. You people are a dream team, and you are the foundation of this dealership. In my opinion, you are the finest team of people in the Motorcycle Industry. The focus you put on giving our customers the best experience possible is unwavering, and you genuinely care. You simply are the BEST, and I am so grateful for the time we spent together. Now, I can't wait to sit on the patio on Saturdays and watch all the excitement!
I am still a small part of IMS until the end of the year. My email still works, and I will be in and out of the store visiting my favorite people! Thank you for everything!
