Most people know engines need air, fuel, compression, & spark but they also need to be able to exhaust. This leaf blower wouldn’t start. Looks like a mud dabber or something has plugged up the exhaust. Cleared that out. Runs fine now.

This one is a first for me. Animal nests under the engine shroud is bad news because it blocks air flow & the animal could chew on wires. Well this engine has a snake in it. It looks like it took care of the mouse issue but got hit by the fan and died. Yummy.

PS. He smells good too. 🤢

FYI. The new Wawa in Fishersville has ethanol free fuel.

It takes very little trash in the carburetor to cause big problems. This little black spec caused the needle valve to not close and flood the crankcase full of fuel.

Just a little dirt in a carburetor can cause big issues. The needle valve in this carb couldn’t close due to dirt & it flooded the crankcase with fuel. Fuel mixed with the oil is very not good.
