Power chair acting up? 🦽 Here are 3 common problems we see, and what to check first:

1️⃣ Won't move or cuts out: check the freewheel lever is back in drive, then charge fully overnight.
2️⃣ Joystick error or blinking lights: power off, wait a minute, power back on. Error comes back? Time for a technician.
3️⃣ Pulling to one side or a bumpy ride: usually tire pressure, worn tires or a motor issue.

Getting a hospital bed for home? Measure before it arrives.

A bed that fits on paper can still leave too little room for daily care. Before delivery, write down:
• The clear floor space where the bed will stand (not the room's listed size)
• The delivery route from your entrance to the room: doorways, tight turns, steps and thresholds
• Room for caregivers to reach the person, plus any wheelchair or patient lift

Ask for the exact bed's overall assembled dimensions, not just the mattress size. Then send your sketch, measurements and photos to Medical Equipment Specialists so we can review the layout with you.

Getting a hospital bed at home? Measure this first. 📏

A standard home hospital bed is 36" x 80". Heavy duty is 42" wide and bariatric is 48". Over 6 ft tall? Ask about an 84" extension.

Tip: measure the path in, not just the room. Check every doorway and hallway turn from the front door to the bedroom. Then leave space beside the bed for a caregiver and a walker or wheelchair, with an outlet nearby.
