The 3-1/2" × 8-1/2" sole gives you a stable reference across the work, and the blade mechanism mounts in three positions — each with in-facing or out-facing orientation — so you can keep the sole flat and the blade where it needs to be, even in tight spots or against shoulders. Rotate the blade itself in four directions to work with the grain instead of fighting it.
Machined from ductile iron with a black-nitride finish, tight-tolerance blade travel, and a double-wedge lock that won't mar the shaft.
