Congratulations to Firefighters Mark McKenna and Meaghan Hill!

Your Local 1512 Fire Fighters are incredibly proud to announce the recognition that two of our own received for their actions while responding to a recent medical emergency. They were recognized last evening by our Medical Director, Dr. Muse.

These two Firefighter/Paramedics performed life-saving resuscitation measures on a newborn baby. This is exactly why we do what we do. Moments like these remind us of our purpose- to help others. We could not be more proud to serve the citizens of Stoughton.

McKenna and Hill, strong work! 💪🏼

Last night, our brothers and sisters of Boston Firefighters Local 718 IAFF and the Kilduff family were dealt a loss that is immeasurable with words. Firefighter Robert Kilduff, Jr “BK” of Rescue Company 2 made the ultimate sacrifice while battling a 3-alarm fire in Dorchester.

To his family, friends, and fellow firefighters.
Please know that this entire community stands beside you during this unimaginably difficult time.

Rest in peace, brother. A true Jake.

The members of Stoughton Firefighters Local 1512 are saddened to announce the passing of Retired Firefighter Roy Peck.

Roy proudly served the Town of Stoughton as a member of the Stoughton Fire Department for 35 years and was a Founding Member of Stoughton Firefighters Local 1512. He was truly a salt of the earth man who earned the respect of his fellow firefighters throughout his career, as well as from the generations of members who followed after him.

Roy was a yearly attendee at Firefighter Sunday and proud to talk about the fire service. He was even more proud of his family, including his two sons, Retired Firefighter Steve Peck and current Captain Michael Peck, who both followed in his footsteps.

For many younger members, it was inspiring to see the close bond Roy and his generation of firefighters maintained throughout their retirement years. His dedication to the Town of Stoughton, the fire service, and this union left a lasting impact that will not be forgotten.

Please join us in keeping Roy and the entire Peck family in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.

Visitation will be held at Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park Street (Rt. 27), Stoughton, on Wednesday, May 20, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM. A funeral service will be held Thursday, May 21, at 11:00 AM at the funeral home, followed by interment at Dry Pond Cemetery in Stoughton.

Andrew and Kourtney Miranda went above and beyond to put together a delicious home cooked meal for our firefighters, it did not go unnoticed.

AKM Private Dining is a small local business just starting out, and they chose to spend their time and energy giving back to first responders. That kind of generosity and community spirit means the world to us. If you’re looking for a catering company check out the details below. 👇
