The State of New York has updated their new energy code with mandatory compliance as of December 31, 2025. The new energy code prescriptive path allows both the 2025 ECCCNYS (based on 2024 IECC) or 2025 NY ASHRAE 90.1 (based on 90.1-2022).

The State of Rhode Island has adopted the 2024 IECC (International Energy Conservation Code), with new energy code requirements that went into effect in December 2025. The updated energy code does not impact climate zones in Rhode Island, however, it slightly increases stringency in metal building walls.
