A very subtle flaw in my design - can you find it? The gripper fingers (gold) rotate rapidly opening a gate allowing the advancing nuts to enter the gripper fingers. What's the flaw?

Seven years and one million hex nuts later this machine designed and built by MDC is still working hard checking the weights and marking parts for the Chinook Helicopter.

MDC is going to play TBT today! This drawing was done in the early 70's by MDC's President, Michael Cavanaugh. Not the first machine he built but one of the first he designed on paper!
