For 38 years, The Railroad Yard Inc. has provided structural steel products and services to customers in Stillwater and beyond. The company has since expanded its services to include metal buildings, welding equipment and supplies, and fabrication services. The old red caboose sits at the entrance of the yard, reminding customers of how The Railroad Yard Inc. had its beginnings.The Railroad Yard Inc. began as a family business in 1978 as a railroad tie and salvage lumber company.
In 1988, Bill Anderson IV followed in his father’s footsteps and became president of The Railroad Yard Inc. Through quality products, service, and the ability to develop partnerships with diverse customers, Anderson has developed the company into one that serves local, national and international clients.Living up to the company slogan of “We Deal in Steel,” The Railroad Yard Inc. stocks a variety of structural steel and aluminum products, including, pipe, culverts, plate and steel, angle iron, containers, plastic pipe, tank cars, flat cars.
With more than 80 acres of steel inventory, The Railroad Yard Inc. is truly a steel “megastore,” and its products and services continue to grow.The fabrication division is a 12,000 square foot specialty fabrication center that houses state-of-the-art fabrication equipment, including a 750-ton press brake, computerized shears, saws, bender and rollers, and so on. The Railroad Yard Inc. staff custom-builds products for use in the oil and gas industries, county road drainage, agriculture products as well as creates specialized items for any customer’s needs.
The Railroad Yard, Inc. also continues to serve county road and bridge projects in Oklahoma, Texas, Arkansas, Kansas and Missouri, supplying counties with steel bridge beams and tank car culverts.In addition to stocking all types of steel and providing custom services, The Railroad Yard, Inc. also sells welding equipment and accessories as well as welding gasses.
