You may have seen the stunning photos of the Chicago Skydeck, but did you know they actually pull the booths back into the building for maintenance and weather?

There are 8 SERAPID LinearBeam units in the Willis Tower, which can retract the glass booths back into the building. This is necessary during inclement weather, as well as for maintenance and regular safety checks of the equipment.
