Hey guys, I just replaced the clutch and flywheel on the C30 with spec units. Part numbers SO60S for the wheel and SO601-3 on the clutch. It seems like my starter isn't engaging the flywheel correctly. I get a bad grinding sound when trying to start the car. Engine spins freely when turning crank bolt by hand.

I had O'Reilly's check the starter and it tested good. The battery in the car is also good. No issue starting the car on the stock setup.

Are there any known issues with this combo that could be causing this?

Welp gents. I think I'm done with the P2 platform. This car has been headache after headache my wallet can't take it anymore.

I am officially parting out the Sonic. This is just a heads up post as I will not be taking the car apart for a couple of weeks, but I wanted to let everyone know.

I will make a post with pricing for everything at a later date.

I will not be selling the car as a whole unless someone REALLY wants it.

It was a great weekend at the dragon with the Volvo crew. I put 950 miles on the Sonic this weekend. Overall the car did really well despite not being tuned much at all. There're a couple of things I will need to fix with it, but it was a great way to shake down the car.
