Our Annual VT Frames Golf Tournament is a wrap and we had an absolute blast celebrating the people who make this company great. From the first tee to the final hole, it was a day full of laughs, friendly competition, and some seriously impressive (and not-so-impressive 😂) shots.

Before a frame goes up on site, it goes up in the shop. Every timber is cut, jointed, and test-fitted right here — pieces assembled, joints checked, everything verified against the plan. If something's off, we catch it now. Not in the field with a crew standing by. When raising day comes, the frame has already been raised once. Part of what makes it look effortless.

You've seen the exposed beams. Here's what holds them together. The mortise and tenon joint has been used in timber framing for centuries — a projecting tenon fits precisely into a mortise pocket, locked in place with a wooden peg. No metal fasteners. No adhesives. Just wood fitted tight against wood. When done right, it only gets stronger over time.

The second slide represents post and beam construction, relying on metal hardware and bolts to secure the beams - while we generally don't use post and beam construction, there are certain large scale projects where post and beam methods are most appropriate and our team is prepared with this expertise as well.

Not trimmed on site. Every panel fabricated to fit your specific project. The timber frame gets the attention. The panels are what keep it tight, warm, and performing for decades.
