ACME Constructors is an industrial construction company that has been in business since 1947. ACME has always been focused on delivering outstanding service, quality, pricing, and safety. ACME Constructors has extensive experience in the execution of small and large projects involving the use of an extensive field workforce including over 200 highly trained tradesmen and women. ACME is a 100% employee owned and managed construction company. This ownership structure allows ACME to recruit and retain the most highly qualified and motivated management team as well as develop a deep community of collaboration. These attributes have allowed ACME Constructors to develop its core focus of putting the client's needs first. The headquarters is located in St. Louis, Missouri, and the Mid-Missouri office is located in Columbia Missouri. ACME Constructors completes over 600 projects each year. The projects range in size from service calls that are less than $1,000 to large projects that have a total value in excess of $30 million. Our success and longevity has been a result of our client focused approach that includes unending dedication to safety, retaining the most highly skilled craftsmen and craftswomen in the industry, and providing outstanding project management through our efficient processes and dedication to outstanding client communication.

Travis began his ACME Constructors journey in 2005 as an Ironworker and has continued to grow his career through hard work, dedication, and a commitment to leadership. Today, Travis is serving as a Riding Boss, helping lead crews and support project success in the field.

Please join us in welcoming Ben Straatmann to ACME Constructors as a Project Engineer.

Ben is a Civil Engineering graduate from Missouri S&T who brings both engineering expertise and hands-on field experience to our team. Many at ACME may remember Ben from his time working as a union millwright while attending school.

What makes Ben's story especially meaningful is his connection to ACME Constructors. His father built a successful career here before retiring, and Ben grew up around many of the people and experiences that helped shape the company.

Today, he brings that same work ethic, practical field perspective, and passion for industrial construction to his new role.

We're excited to welcome Ben back and look forward to the impact he'll make on our employees, projects, and customers.

Recently, an ACME Constructors crew demonstrated exactly what it means to Stand Up for Safety.

Before work began, the project team developed a plan that could be executed safely. Upon arriving onsite, however, it was found that actual field conditions made the original plan less than ideal.

Rather than pushing forward, the crew exercised Stop Work Authority, communicated concerns, and partnered with the customer to develop a safe path forward.

What makes this story worth celebrating is what happened next.

While the conditions were being addressed, the team adjusted priorities and focused on other productive work, maintaining project progress without compromising safety.

This is the culture we strive to build every day: recognize risk, speak up, collaborate, and adapt.

Thank you to the employees involved for demonstrating leadership, professionalism, and an unwavering commitment to safety.

Construction is hard work — and sometimes it takes a toll.

Long hours. Physical demands. Tight schedules. Time away from home. Moving from job to job. The pressures are real, and construction continues to have one of the highest su***de rates in the country.

For too long, our industry’s answer was to tough it out and keep it to yourself. We can do better.

Looking out for each other means noticing when someone isn’t themselves. Asking how they’re doing. Listening. Checking back in.
And making it okay to ask for help.

We’re proud that the Carpenters, Iron Workers, Laborers and Operating Engineers we work alongside are having these same conversations and providing resources to their members.

Taking care of each other is part of working safely.

The eagle has landed! 🦅 We are incredibly proud to share that our crews were hard at work behind the scenes helping bring a piece of brewing history to life as the iconic neon-lit eagle sign—formerly stationed atop the company's Newark, New Jersey brewery—officially arrives in St. Louis.

Our team provided and installed the critical and massive structure to support this monumental landmark in its new home atop the historic St. Louis brewery.

A huge congratulations to Anheuser-Busch on bringing this legendary piece of history to the St. Louis skyline, and thank you for trusting our team to help make it happen! 🍻
