I’m going to look at it tomorrow morning first, but we may be in need of an HVAC tech for a mini split in our B room at Native Sound. Heat pump issue most likely. Anybody know anybody?

The estate sale gods reigned down on us 23 incredible vintage mics a couple of weeks ago. (4 unidyne iii’s not pictured) The big prize was the stereo pair of but all of these mics sound so great! Looking forward to recording a band who wants a vintage sound with nothing but vintage mics running through our Neve console and perhaps tracking to our Studer A800 sprinkling in the magic. (Protools will work just fine too tho)

We got the best sounding reverb of all time up the stairs (barely!) and into our studio. Say hello to our everybody. I love plug-in verbs and lexicon and springs but this thing gave me the chills the first time I ran a vocal through it. It is stunning on drums, keys, guitars, percussion, everything! This particular unit does a split second to just about ten seconds of decay. So stoked!

Our 70’s Gretsch stop sign badge kit is in tip top shape and sounding so beautiful lately. Been switching up drum pres for fun and I’m loving the Grace pre’s on kick snare and Coles overheads. 2 dope sessions today and feeling good. The studio is just ripping these days!

Our SA-609 just came in and sounds so great! That makes 6 incredible bus compressors to choose from on mix bus, drum bus or wherever you might be looking for a little cohesion or character. Any of these can easily be inserted into the master section of our Neve Genesys or used for parallel or groups across the 8 track. (And let me tell you that is a lot of fun!)

Just a little shoutout to my partner He is mixing the audio for live broadcast of the Western Conference Finals this year. This is a huge honor in that field and a reflection of his talent as an audio engineer. He’s the best I know and a dear friend. I love you Ben! So proud of you and eager for you to use our studio again! It’s awesome!
