This tank head was getting rigged up and moved into place for the next stage in the process. A lot of fabrication work is planning lifts, moving material safely, and getting everything where it needs to be.

Drilling bolt holes in the rim angle of the tank allows for bolting of the removable top head, making for easier servicing and parts replacement down the road.

Heat can change more than just the color of metal during welding. If a weld cools too quickly or unevenly, the material can begin to warp or distort. That’s why some welds are left to air cool naturally. Slowing the cooling process helps reduce stress on the metal and keeps larger sections aligned and in shape.

Our team carefully tapes off polished sections and wraps tanks in protective plastic to prevent scratches, scuffs, and damage during fabrication and transport. Even small scratches can create places where residue or bacteria could collect, making surface protection a critical part of maintaining sanitary standards.
