No seasonal demand is worth putting your crew at risk.
The holiday rush is when rules start to slip. Keep one rule fixed: no one works under a raised bed without a support. A two-minute pause can prevent a two-week injury.

Hydraulics don't send a calendar invite before losing pressure.
They are built for movement, not fixed support. A purpose-built support doesn't rely on fluid levels or line pressure, and it holds the bed in a fixed position.
Give your shop a backup that doesn't drift.

Cold hydraulic fluid slows cylinder response and makes bed movement uneven.
Wooden blocks and traditional supports aren't enough. A safety lock keeps the bed secure even if the hydraulic system gives way.

Winter isn't forgiving.
Let the hydraulic system reach operating temperature before you raise the bed. Raise it in short, controlled steps. Stay off soft dirt, packed snow, and slush.

Cold weather changes how a dump truck behaves.
Hydraulic fluid thickens as temperatures drop. A mechanical lock removes the pressure from the hydraulics entirely, so the bed stays where you put it.

Generic supports and certified bed locks are not the same thing.
BedLock's comparison shows how certified systems stand apart from generic and makeshift options on reliability, durability, and safety.

Training is where zero-incident maintenance starts.
Match the training to the gear. The BL-450A/B suits light-duty municipal and commercial trucks, while the BL-800A/B is built for oversized vehicles and specialty fleets. When your team knows which support goes under which truck, nobody improvises.
