Job Title: Wildland Firefighter, 10 (Part-Time / Call as Needed)

Position Summary
West Coast Wildfire is seeking motivated and dependable Wildland Firefighters for the 2026 fire season. This is a part-time, on-call position supporting wildfire suppression and prevention efforts during peak fire months. Training will be provided.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Assist with wildland fire suppression and containment operations
• Operate hand tools, equipment, and vehicles as assigned
• Participate in fire line construction, mop-up, and patrol activities
• Follow all safety procedures and incident command protocols
• Work effectively as part of a firefighting team in physically demanding conditions
• Perform other related duties as required
Minimum Qualifications
• Ability to work on a call-as-needed basis from July through October 2026
• Must be drug-free (subject to testing)
• Must possess a valid driver’s license
• Ability to perform strenuous physical labor in outdoor and hazardous environments
• Ability to follow directions and work as part of a team
Preferred Qualifications
• Prior wildland firefighting or related outdoor work experience (not required)
• Willingness to complete required training (training provided)
Working Conditions
• Extended hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Exposure to smoke, heat, rough terrain, and changing weather conditions
Compensation
• Pay rate: $28-$32
