Your rigs don't need another parking lot. They need to have a place for you to sit down for a minute and breathe, fix that thing that's been rattling for 700 miles, and maybe see a few other people who thought that turning a vehicle into a home was reasonable. There are spots around the network for skoolies, buses, vans, RVs, or whatever you drive.

Want mountains with Tennessee's quiet? Maybe Baker Mountain is calling. You want the Pacific Northwest without having to sell a kidney for a place to park? Thats our Olympia, WA spot. Need a solid stop around a Texas route? Chandler, TX, has you covered.

Every Waypoint is different because every property partner brings something to the table. Some spots work well for projects. Some allow rest. Some are the kinds of places you show up for a week and then suddenly think maybe your rig needs just one more upgrade.

We have nomads, builders, almost-finished rigs, rigs that were supposed to be done in 3 months (but have been with us for years), and the folks who need a place to land for a while.

Holler at us if you're looking for an honest place to park your wheels for a while.

The best part about building Waypoints has been seeing just how many homes on wheels come through.

There will be a skoolie beside a fifth wheel, a van beside a motorhome, and some sloppy-looking custom-built rigs built with equal parts skill, stubbornness, marketplace finds, and a refusal to live a normal life. And honestly? We love that.

That's the thing with waypoints. Nomads are not built for one kind of lifestyle.

No one needs the newest, biggest, prettiest, or most Insta-approved rig. You can show up in polished and shiny or in something with three unfinished projects, one mystery rattle, and a cabinet door you have to close "just right." Here, all of that tracks.

Because this lifestyle has never been one-size-fits-all. Some travel in a bus. Some are in a fifth wheel. Others were in vans. Some in a rig that makes people say, "Oh well!" I never saw that before, "which is usually our cue to go look and ask questions."

That helps - that's part of what makes staying at Waypoints fun. Different rigs. People are different. The stories differ. But there is one thread running through it all: People looking for freedom, building life a little differently, and finding good spots to land.

So if you were hoping to find a place to stash your setup without having to fit in a box, chances are good you'll fit right in with us.

Booking availability across the network is available - we'd love to have you in - whether you're rolling in finished or still clinging to life with hope, zip ties, and a suspicious amount of silicone caulk.

Skoolies, housetrucks, vans, RVs, and every other glorious rolling contraption, we’ve got openings across the Wanderlust Waypoints network where you can find a place to land that gets you. If you’ve been bouncing between backup plans and parking lots, this is your nudge to grab a real spot to land. A place where you can actually reset, catch up, and handle life stuff without feeling like you’re in the way.

Across the network you’ll find a mix of stays, from simple and quiet to more work-friendly stops where you can make progress on the rig, clean up the chaos inside it, and get your brain back online.

Also, keep your eyes peeled. We’re actively working on a New Mexico location right now, and it’s shaping up to be a solid addition to the network.

If you want to get started for a stay, shoot us a message and we'll find a place for ya.

Hey nomads, we’re looking for some input from our community here. We're quite a few locations deep now, but where do YOU want to see the next Wanderlust Waypoint pop up? Not “where would be cool” (though cool is welcome)… but where do we NEED one because finding a solid place to land is a pain in the ass, options are thin, or you’re always passing through and wishing there was a Waypoint right there.

We’ve already had interest from folks in Maine, North Carolina, New Mexico …and Spain (which sounds wild, but hey, we’re already in Canada so apparently we’ve chosen chaos as a lifestyle)

Now we want to see if we can do it this way this time: build where the community actually needs it most.

Let us know in the comments:
• State/region (or country)
• Nearest “anchor” city or highway corridor (example: “I-10 between San Antonio and El Paso” or “outside Asheville” or "2mi from Rita the Rock Hunter"... we're good with whatever)
• Why there (lack of safe spots, repair help, winter base, event hub, etc.)

Bonus points if you tag a property owner or builder who’d be a perfect partner. Thanks in advance for all your input, we're going to do our best to get some places that are right where the community needs us.

We’ve got some fresh availability across the Waypoints universe and figured we'd let everyone know:

• Washington has openings right now
• Florida has long-term spots available with full hookups
• Baker Mountain, TN has a couple spots left before it fills back up
• Other locations have availability depending on your rig size.

We’re also actively looking for new locations. If you reached out in the past about becoming a waypoint and things went quiet, I’ll be reconnecting soon. If you've got land that you wouldn't mind having nomads hang for a week or two, reach out and I'll explain how it all works.

Need a work camping gig that’s genuinely laid back? No over-structuring, no busywork for the sake of it. Just reasonable expectations and room to breathe. We can help there too.

Spots are limited and they tend to fill quietly. If you’re interested, reach out sooner rather than later.

After the holiday season ends, every year starts the same way. Big plans. Big promises. And a quiet voice in the back of your head saying, “Maybe this is the year.”

The year you stop saying “someday.”
The year you stop waiting for perfect timing.
The year you actually go.

If you’re reading this, chances are you’ve already felt it… that pull to move and to breathe a little deeper. That need to find somewhere you’re not rushed or somewhere you can wake up, make coffee, and remember why you chose this life in the first place.

That’s why we built Wanderlust Waypoints. Not to be fancy or polished. But to be real.

Real space to land, real people who get it, and real time to work on your rig, your plans, or just yourself.

If you don’t know where you’re headed yet, that’s okay. You don’t need a five-year plan… just a place to start. Book a stay. Park the rig. Take a breath. Let the year unfold from there.

Happy 2026 Nomads! May this year be roadside trouble-free and may all the crazy ideas in your head become realities in your rig.

Waypoints isn't a campground… we’re whatever happens when a DIY commune meets a traveling circus, and everyone brings tools. If you like your stays a little weird, a little chaotic, and a whole lot welcoming, Wanderlust Waypoints has spots open, and your name might already be on one of them (metaphorically, relax, we don’t carve things into picnic tables).

Need hookups? Got you. Need space to build something you probably shouldn’t? Also got you. Need to be around people who understand why you own three impact drivers but still can’t find a 10mm socket? Yes. We get it.

Book a stay, be a work camper (we're actively looking for a work camper/couple for our Baker Mountain location in TN), be our next location... be part of the nonsense.

11/23/2025

Looking for a spot where you can catch your breath, fix your rig, finish a project, or just exist without being judged by someone named Cheryl in a golf cart? Wanderlust Waypoints has openings, and we’d love to have you roll in.

Some of our locations are fully dialed in. Others are still coming together (because we’re building this thing as fast as humans-with-tools-and-occasional-chaos can). But every single one has this in common:
We're real people who want this community to keep being awesome. We've got build spots and tools and we'd love to have you come by.

If you’re looking for a safe harbor for a week, a month, or long enough to finish that “totally simple renovation” you’ve been working on since 2022… we’ve got space for you.

Book a stay, bring your rig, and come be part of the ever-evolving, always-welcoming Waypoints family.

Rent is high, prices everywhere are climbing, and hermit crabs continue to live their best little “new shell, who dis?” lifestyle. So bring your shell. Come hang.

We’re in that magical transition period where things are getting whipped back into shape and still have just enough chaos to feel like home. Whether you’re parking for a bit or planning a full rig build, Baker Mountain in TN gives you space to breathe and people who understand exactly why you chose this life. We don't have perfection, and we're not fancy, but we've got a heck of a lot of community and no judgment. Booking spots are open, and build spots are limited.

We’re locking in a brand-new set of work campers who are about to help restore Baker Mountain to its full, organized glory. In the meantime, we’ve already resurfaced all the gravel and parking areas; reclaimed from nature, flattened out, and packed down tighter than your travel budget these days.

Come join us on Baker Mountain or at any location in the Waypoints network. Shoot us a message to get started for a stay. If you've got property and think it would be cool to have some 40' hermit crabs come hang out... shoot us a message and we'll talk about our Property Partner program

For the first time in over three years, there’s actually an opening for a Work Camper here at Wanderlust Waypoints: Baker Mountain in TN. (I know… It’s been a while.) Our long-time work campers finally finished their rig and hit the road to chase new horizons, leaving behind some big shoes and probably a few unfinished projects to fill.

We’re on the hunt for a traveling duo who can help keep things running smooth-ish:
- One of you should be a clubhouse hero (a.k.a. the one who knows where the mop lives and can act as a liaison if I'm not available).
- The other should be handy enough to help us get our projects back on track, bonus points if you can operate power tools and still have all your fingers.

We’re not looking for someone just chasing a free hookup (we mean the electrical kind, calm down). We’re looking for people who believe in what we’re building, a real community for nomads. If you think that’s you, or your kind of people, send us a message before the spot’s gone for another three years!

Oh, and while we’re at it… We’ve got a few limited build spots open, too (here and at locations nationwide). Perfect for folks who like to work on their rig somewhere that feels a little like home (and smells like campfire coffee).

So, shoot us a message to be a work camper, a guest making an amazing rig, or a property owner who wants to do something really cool with their land.

Let’s be honest, every nomad’s got their ghosts. Ours just happen to involve dodgy dump stations, flickering porch lights, and that one campground that probably was built on an ancient burial ground.

Wanderlust Waypoints wasn’t created by investors or suits; it was built by folks who’ve broken down, patched up, and figured it out in the middle of nowhere (... when the headlights went out... doing 70... during deer season... FUN!). We don’t have fancy brochures or infinity pools. We’ve got space, tools, and hookups that work (most of the time). We’re not perfect, but we’re not pretending to be either. Sometimes things go sideways. Sometimes the tools are scattered from the last project. But we’ll hand you a wrench, a coffee, and a place to work it out.

No fake smiles, no overpriced “resorts,” and no campground drama. Just space, community, and the occasional dog wandering by for head pats. Book your next stay somewhere that’s honest about what it is, and damn proud of it.

Message us to book a spot, be a property partner, or be a work camper!
